Food, Beverages, and Edible Oil: Activated carbon plays a vital role in the production of food and beverages. Its applications include decolorization, removal of dissolved organic compounds, odor and taste control in food and beverages. Activated carbon is also used in edible oil refining processes for purification and enhancement of the oil's quality.

Petroleum Refinery: Activated Carbon is a highly effective adsorbent used in petroleum refineries for the recovery of valuable products like gasoline vapor, benzene, and solvents. 

Desulfurisation of Natural Gas: Activated carbon adsorption is a widely utilized method to remove hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from gas streams. H2S is a major odorous compound known for its offensive smell, high flammability, and toxicity. Impregnated activated carbon has demonstrated superior performance in effectively eliminating H2S from gas streams.
